北京时间 11 月 11 日 22:14，FTX 官方发布公告称，包括 Alameda Research、FTX US 在内的 134 家相关实体（合称 FTX Group）已根据美国《破产法》第 11 章向特拉华州地方法院申请破产重组。
与此同时，SBF 也正式辞去了 FTX Group 的首席执行官一职，该职位将由 Ray & Counsel 律师事务所的负责人 John J.Ray Ⅲ 接任，后者拥有超过 20 年的商业诉讼经历，曾在知名的“安然破产大案”中担任相关债务清算公司的负责人。针对当前的局面，Ray 表示根据《破产法》第 11 章申请破产保护是制定下一步计划的必要步骤，目前 Alvarez & Marsal、Sullivan 和 Cromwell 正为 FTX 破产重组提供建议。
根据 Alameda Research 同步提交给法院的相关文件中，我们可以获悉更为准确的数字（实际也只是个区间）。其中，Alameda Research 在债权人数量的选项中填报的是“预计超过 10 万人”，而在资产及负债规模选项中 Alameda Research 填报的则均为“100 亿美元 - 500美元”。
